“Zionist Politician Moshe Feiglin ADMITS: ‘We Don’t Belong to the Same Religion’”

Feiglin Challenged on Six-Day War Claims, Temple Mount Rulings, and “Judaism vs Zionism”

Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro criticizes Moshe Feiglin’s book for disrespecting Orthodox rabbinic authorities and their ruling forbidding ascent to the Temple Mount, arguing Feiglin’s actions endanger Jews and noting that the Eidah HaChareidis, Israel’s Chief Rabbinate, Shin Bet, Israeli police, and the U.S. State Department all agree Temple Mount ascents by Feiglin’s group provoke violence and death. Rabbi Shapiro says he wants the public to see the distance between regular Orthodox Jews and Zionism, calling Zionism a different religion. He then disputes Feiglin’s claim that West Point and other academies don’t teach the Six-Day War because it was a miracle, citing West Point and other military texts that analyze Israel’s strategy and critique Israel’s reliance on force and the political costs of occupation. The rabbi then suggests Feiglin's delusional view of war and victory helps explain why religious Zionist officers face a glass ceiling in the IDF. Feiglin agrees Judaism and Zionism are different religions.
